Artist's Comments

Just when I'd begun to think I'm really not depraved, the wonderful Violently persuades me to join her in a day of seasonally festive turkey dressing, and any hope I ever had of being normal was blown out of the window. To all you shibari lovers out there, I say please don't take this seriously .... it's just a bit of irreverent fun.

My efforts pale into insignificance when compared with Violently's. Of mine, she says "Only one person could have tied that - your style is so distinctive". Hmmm .... perhaps I'm becoming set in my ways ......

I don't know if I like it because it's like a parody of bondage or if I don't like it because it's a dead bird! XD

I LOVE IT!!!! That is about as funny as you can get...and it is definitely your style of shibari!!!

This has got to be the most bizarre thing I've seen on the interwebz this month. Congrats.

Yes, I do work in a veterinary clinic. No, I am not a veterinarian. Yes, I can tell you if you've done something wrong/stupid with your animal, but I also retain the right to make fun of you for being a knowledgeless asshat. Go read a pet care book. -RA

Actually....

I will take it seriously. This is one beautiful tie. Very your style & grace.

Miss you!

Your work will be judged on it's own merits, not who's work it sits next to.

Violently and I had a similar mix of emotions, although the fun of it all had us rolling on the floor for much of the day! For me, the session introduced a new and rather sinister twist .... we were scrupulously hygenic in keeping hands, bird, twine and everything clean, but specifically because our 'victim' was to be eaten afterwards! I found that a little scary ......

LOL!!! Thank you, my dear, but I have to say this particular "rope birdie" was distinctly cold and clammy - in other circumstances I'd have been calling for an ambulance! I really must take more care not to impede circulation ......
:icone3nomad:
Bizarre? Hah! You ain't seen nuffink yet!!!! And thank you for the compliment!
:icone3nomad:
Thank you Lochai .... missing you guys too. Strange as it seemed at the time, I was rather pleased with the way this came together, particularly bearing in mind the obvious anatomical differences. But it is a parody nonetheless, and I was delighted with the way the tie could create an illusion of something more human than ornithological!

How about not liking it because of both???

Actually it is really creative, scary, funny, artistic, creepy and so on ...

A big A+
